DESCRIPTION:The event has been organized by a coalition of South Florida labor and community organizations\, including your dear old union\, United Faculty of Florida\, featuring speakers from the FAU and FIU chapters. It will feature four panels: \n1) Organizing the unorganized\n2) Building union power\n3) Organizing against state repression\n4) Organizing for migrant justice. \n It will draw together members from the Communications Workers of America\, UNITE HERE\, Starbucks Workers United\, Association of Flight Attendants\, National Association of Letter Carriers\, International Union of Painters and Allied Trades\, American Federation of Government Employees\, and more. The goal of the event is not simply to discuss these critical issues\, but also to build coalitions among unions across sectors to strengthen our power and building critical momentum in defense of all workers’ rights. \nSign up here.
