June 30, 2012. Becoming a UFF member strengthens the faculty voice and gives you access to professional representation in the grievance/arbitration process
Grievances and arbitration are legally binding procedures to ensure fair treatment of faculty under our Collective Bargaining Agreement with FAU’s Board of Trustees. Did you know that BEFORE the grievance process, we have the benefit of consultation? The President, Provost, and Deans are required to resolve the issues we bring up in consultation. As a result, UFF has a substantially high informal resolution rate. This means that most faculty concerns are resolved without legal action!
