Free Speech Doesn’t Defend Itself

On 10/9/2025 7pm, join a free, virtual panel open to all on how to fight back against government censorship, intimidation, and corporate suppression.

Free speech is under attack from all Action Indivisible is hosting a free virtual panel on censorship and resistance, featuring organizers and free speech advocates who have been directly involved in this fight. This is a chance to connect, learn, and act before silence becomes the norm.

Free speech will not collapse with a bang

The erosion of free speech happens piece by piece, silencing one professor, pulling one comedian off the air, throttling one post online. By the time we notice the silence, it may already be too late. We are living in a moment when this foundational right that supports democracy is under more assault than many people realize.

Across the country, people are being punished for what they say or share. Professors are being placed on administrative leave, comedians are losing their platforms, and citizens are learning that speaking too freely can come with personal or professional consequences. If we do not push back now, the space for dissent and real dialogue will keep shrinking.
